Game drives

Balule River Camp offers game into Balule Nature Reserve in Open Safari Vehicles.  Morning drives starts of early with a coffee and rusk stop.  Afternoon drives starts as the day starts cooling and stop for drinks watch the sun set over the Drakensberg Mountain.



Morning Bushwalks offer a wonderful opportunity to see nature from a different perspective.  The only way to truly experience the pulse of the African bush is through your feet. Explore the myriad of smaller creatures in the Balule Nature Reserve.


Day trip to KNP

The Kruger National Park is undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest game parks. It has been praised for its endeavours in nature conservation, professional management of wildlife and the safeguarding of African cultural heritage.   Over the last few years, fences that separated the KNP from neighbouring reserves have been removed allowing the wildlife greater access to natural resources as well as increasing the game viewing opportunity.


Olifants River Boat Cruise

Golf in the wild

If golf is your game, Hans Merensky Country Club, located next to Kruger National Park, offers discerning golf enthusiasts a unique African experience to “Golf in the wild”.  The Kruger stretches all along the south border of the course. Stray animals from Kruger make their way onto the course, however there are residents hippopotamuses, crocodiles, giraffes and several antelope species and a variety of birds, which makes playing this, Bob Grim, well-designed 18-hole golf course a truly unique golf experience.
